9.1 Security

For system security, it is suggested that the default user name and password is changed

from the default.

There are three ways to conﬁgure the route: Web browser, telnet and serial console.

Press Security to setup the parameters.

For greater security, deﬁne the Supervisor ID and password for the gateway. If you don’t

set them, all users on your network will be able to access the gateway.

You can authorize up to ﬁve users to access the router via telnet or console. There are

two UI modes, menu driven mode and command mode to conﬁgure the router.
